The St. Pete Fools Social Club started as a group of friends with the similar interests of riding motorcycles, smoking cigars, and hanging out listening to live music in downtown St. Petersburg.
You can frequently find them at Ruby’s Elixir, and Flute & Dram, amongst several other hopping’ places in “The Burg”.
It started with Tony Mangiafico, Chef and Co-Owner of Gratzzi Italian Grille, and a few other restaurateurs, and bar owners, such as Greg Haddad, Hans Klenke, and Josh Cameron… and grew from there.
Tony thought this fun-loving bunch of fellas needed a not-so-serious name when he came up with “The Fools”. The first name of the—at the time—informal gang of pals was “The Unusual Suspects”. This evolved into “The Fools”, “Son’s of Fools”, and now the slightly more formal, “St. Pete Fools Social Club”.
